CONVERGENCE
Knowledge Hub
A knowledge and resource portal built as Fringe22's development partner — Fringe22 led design and strategy, I handled the full WordPress build from front-end through back-end and CMS.
01Overview
The CONVERGENCE Knowledge Hub is a knowledge and resource portal — a searchable, organized home for a deep library of materials. It came through my long-running development partnership with Fringe22: they led design and strategy, and I built it on WordPress, front-end through back-end.
02The Challenge
A knowledge hub lives or dies by findability. A growing library of resources needs real structure — sensible content types, categorization, and navigation — so visitors can actually get to what they need, and so editors can keep adding to it without the whole thing falling apart.
On top of that: a front-end faithful to Fringe22's design, fast and accessible, on every device.
03What I Built
- Custom WordPress theme — Fringe22's designs built into a responsive, accessible front-end, not an off-the-shelf template.
- Content architecture — content types and taxonomy that keep a large resource library organized and navigable.
- Editor-friendly CMS — a publishing experience the team can run without a developer for everyday updates.
- Performance & accessibility — tuned so a content-heavy portal still loads fast and works for everyone.
04How It's Built
Fringe22 owned the design and strategy; I owned the WordPress build — custom theme development, content modeling, and CMS configuration. Same partnership model behind the Drupal work we ship together, applied here on WordPress: their vision, my development, launched as one.
05The Result
A live, organized knowledge hub the team can keep growing on their own — and proof that the Fringe22 partnership ships on whatever platform the project calls for, Drupal or WordPress.
Have a content-heavy site to build?
Drupal or WordPress — I take an agency's design from comp to a fast, maintainable live site.
