How Trey Cox Creative collects, uses, and protects information when you visit treycoxcreative.com or get in touch.
01Overview
Trey Cox Creative ("I," "me," or "we") is a one-person design and development studio operated by Timothy Trey Cox ("Trey"). This policy explains what information is collected through the website at treycoxcreative.com, how it's used, and the choices you have. I keep data collection to a minimum and never sell your personal information.
02Information I Collect
This site is largely a static portfolio, so the information collected is limited:
- Information you give me — when you email me or reach out through the contact link, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Automatically collected technical data — like most websites, my hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps) for security and reliability.
- Fonts — the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google and Google may receive your IP address as part of that request.
I do not run advertising trackers, and the site does not use cookies for cross-site tracking or advertising.
03How I Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries and discuss potential projects.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations when required.
04How I Share Information
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be handled by the service providers that make the site work:
- Hosting — the site is hosted on Hostinger, which processes server logs on my behalf.
- Google Fonts — used to deliver the site's typefaces, as described above.
- Email — messages you send arrive through standard email, which is handled by the relevant email provider.
I may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of myself or others.
05Third-Party Links
This site links to other websites — including my clients' and partners' live sites and my social profiles. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave treycoxcreative.com.
06Data Retention
I keep email correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you and maintain a record of our communication, and I delete it when it's no longer needed. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider for a limited period under their standard practices.
07Your Rights & Choices
You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've shared with me by emailing treycox@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights over your personal data — just reach out and I'll do my best to honor any valid request.
08Children's Privacy
This site is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
09Data Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and I take reasonable measures to protect information. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.
10Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time — for example, if I add new features or tools to the site. When I do, I'll revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
